About the event
We invite you to a lecture on Cambodia's political model delivered in person by David Hutt, a journalist who focuses on Southeast Asian politics, Europe-Asia relations, and New Cold War geopolitics. David Hutt is also “Southeast Asia Columnist” for the Diplomat and a correspondent for Asia Times.
Abstract of the lecture:
Since 1985, Cambodia has been ruled by the Hun family, first by Hun Sen and then by his eldest son, Hun Manet, since 2023. But what is Cambodia's political system? Is it a feudal state, an autocracy, or a failed democracy?
The lecture will take place at the Faculty of Arts of Palacký University Olomouc, room nr. SV 2.40, and will be recorded.
